The Non-Designer’s Design Book

A friend recommended this book to me a couple of years ago, and now I’m recommending it to you. It’s a fairly short book containing only a handful of concepts, but each one is broken down into easily digestible chunks with great examples to boot. I used it to teach introductory computer students how to design attractive presentations and web sites. The section on alignment is particularly relevant to our discussion on grid-based designs.
